Cadets of the MITIT completed an internship at the Regional Cyber Defence Centre of the Republic of Lithuania

Cadets of the Faculty of the combat use of control and communications systems of the Kruty Heroes Military Institute of Telecommunications and Information Technology, studying in the speciality Cybersecurity completed an internship at the Regional Cyber Defence Centre of the Republic of Lithuania. The fifth internship rotation finished at the end of 2023.

The internship took place in accordance with the schedule agreed with the Lithuanian Side for conducting an internship at the Regional Cyber Defence Centre of the Republic of Lithuania for 2023. For the new year, 2024, the Parties have already planned new waves of internships under the improved program.

This time, final academic year cadets Mykola Beshevets and Oleksandr Raktynianskyi trained at the Center. In general, more than 10 cadets of the Military Institute have already completed internship.

Training practice (internship) at the Regional Cyber Defence Centre of the Lithuanian Armed Forces provided theoretical knowledge and practical skills in organizing cyber security in the network, acquiring the ability to prepare, respond, process cyber incidents, detect signs of an attack, work with compromise indicators, increase defenсe capabilities in conditions of hacker attacks on critical infrastructure facilities and the ability to resist potential cyber attacks.

The cadet Mykola Beshevets shares his impressions of completing the internship, "During the internship, we acquired and improved knowledge in the field of Information Security in Information and Communication Systems and other skills in the field of Сybersecurity. In my opinion, this kind of practice is indispensable and extremely useful for future cybersecurity professionals. We extend our sincere appreciation to our Lithuanian colleagues for their fruitful cooperation."

At the end of the internship, the cadets bestowed representatives of the Regional Cyber Defence Centre of the Lithuanian Armed Forces with a letter of gratitude from the leadership of the Military Institute for fruitful cooperation and assistance in the training of Ukrainian cyber warriors, as well as strengthening the cybersecurity capabilities of Ukraine.
