Visit of MITIT cadets to NATO command and decision-making structures

The final year cadets of the Kruty Heroes Military Institute of Telecommunications and Information Technology visited NATO command and decision-making structures.

The purpose of the event was to raise awareness of future officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine about the organizational structure, decision-making policy, system of functioning and activities of NATO. As part of the delegation, the headquarters of NATO Supreme Allied Commander was visited by 4 servicemen: cadet of the Faculty of Telecommunication Systems Sofia Kurachenko, cadets of the Faculty of Information Technology Olga Turchak and Oleksii Safonov, cadet of the Faculty of Combat Application of Control and Communication Systems Vladyslav Rang.

During the events, the servicemen visited NATO Headquarters (Brussels, Belgium) and NATO's Strategic Operations Command (Mons, Belgium), the "Fair" of partner training centers at NATO Headquarters, the Royal Military Museum and Allied Command Brunssum (Brunssum, the Netherlands).

The delegation took part in briefings. A series of briefings introduced the Ukrainian cadets to NATO and the importance of the partnership, as well as the role of the IMS Cooperative Security Division as the leader of all military cooperation within the NATO-Ukraine partnership, and the mechanisms and instruments of the NATO partnership.

In the second part of the visit, the group went to SHAPE. This part of the program included additional briefings on NATO's military cooperation with Ukraine and NATO's Operational Capability Concept Evaluation and Feedback (OCC E&F) program, which aims to build, achieve and verify interoperability and operational capability of designated units to enable them to participate in NATO-led operations.
