The Military Institute of Telecommunications and Information Technologies named after Heroes of Kruty hosts the NATO Days

Today, on November 13th, the Military Institute of Telecommunications and Information Technologies named after Heroes of Kruty hosts the NATO Days.

The Head of the Military Institute of Telecommunications and Information Technologies named after Heroes of Kruty, Colonel Yevhen Stepanenko, briefed the NATO delegation on the history of the educational establishment, the main tasks of the Institute, as well as on the modern classrooms and the latest means of communication.

- Currently, 2007 people study at the Institute. Our educational establishment is the only one in the Armed Forces that trains cyber warriors and programmers. We are proud of our alumni and cadets who are the winners of the NATO Programming Hackathons, - said Colonel Yevhen Stepanenko.

Vice Admiral Bülent Turan stressed that Ukraine makes significant contributions to the NATO missions.

- First of all, I would like to congratulate the cadets of the Military Institute of Telecommunications and Information Technologies named after the Heroes of Kruty on their achievements and awards. My team has prepared a number of presentations on NATO for you. As you know, this year the Alliance marked the 70th anniversary of its founding, which proves that NATO is indeed the guarantor of a stable peace, - said the Chief of the Partnerships at the NATO's Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), Vice Admiral Bülent Turan.

The Military Representative of the Mission of Ukraine to NATO, Lieutenant General Volodymyr Askarov, told the cadets about NATO, its ideological basis, as well as about cooperation between Ukraine and the Alliance.

- NATO member countries welcome Ukraine's achievements and look forward to further progress in reform. However, we still have many tasks, that we continue to perform together with our NATO partners, - said Lieutenant General Volodymyr Askarov.

After the event, the cadets were assigned to work in syndicates, where they had the opportunity to communicate with foreign guests.
